About this course
This 5-week online course is developed and designed for those who have been teaching in PA education for at least six months. This course will build upon the concepts presented in the PA Educator Master Course One but will focus on enhancing your competency in educational knowledge and skills specifically related to course development and effective assessment. The expected time commitment each week will be 1-3 hours.
During the 5 weeks of this course, you will learn:
• About course development and design
• How to write effective course learning outcomes and instructional objectives
• Required and essential alignment between learning outcomes, instructional objectives, and assessment methods.
• How to select the best assessment methods and tools for your course
• How to write multiple-choice test items
• To analyze and interpret examination statistics.
In addition, there will be one live Zoom meeting and each participant will also have the opportunity for a one-to-one 30-minute mentorship meeting with Dr. WhiteHorse.
Instructor: Emily WhiteHorse Ph.D., PA-C. Almost 35 years of experience in education, over 25 years in PA education, and more than 20 years of providing faculty development to PA educators.
